Google Ads Management Agency for Search and Shopping
We are a Google Ads management agency that plans, builds and runs Search, Shopping and Performance Max campaigns for businesses that want more enquiries and sales from paid search.
We start with a free audit of your account and tracking, send you a written list of fixes in priority order, and manage the account against your goals, with you approving budget changes.
What our Google Ads management services include
Google Ads management is the ongoing work of building, running and improving your paid campaigns on Google, where you pay when someone clicks your ad. Every project is scoped to your business, and these are the parts we work on. If you are new to the topic, our guide to pay per click explains the basics, and our PPC services page covers the wider service.
Account audit and set up
We review what is already in your account, fix the structure, and set up campaigns so each one has a clear job and a budget you chose.
Search campaigns
We research the words people use, group them by intent, write the ads and keep out searches that waste money. This is where most service businesses start.
Performance Max and Shopping
We run these where they fit, with the product feed, assets and goals set up before launch. For online stores, see our ecommerce PPC service.
Ads and landing page feedback
We write ads that match the search and tell you what on your landing page may stop people from enquiring. We pass the findings to whoever looks after your site.
Conversion tracking
We check that your account counts the calls, forms and sales that matter, and that it does not count the ones that do not.
Reporting and calls
We send a monthly report in plain language, and talk it through with you on a call.
Is Google Ads right for your business?
Google Ads suits some businesses much better than others. These are the signs we look at before we take on an account.
People already search for what you sell
Search ads work best when someone types a need into Google and your ad is the answer. If nobody searches for it, the ads have little to work with.
You know what a lead or sale is worth
With that number we can set a target and tell whether the account is paying its way. Without it, any report is guesswork.
You can follow up quickly
Paid enquiries go cold fast. If calls and forms are not answered promptly, the budget is wasted before we start.
The margin leaves room for ads
Every click costs money. If a sale earns very little after costs, the numbers may not work, and we will tell you before you spend.
If Google Ads is not the best next step for you, we will say so. Sometimes SEO, a better website or a different channel comes first.
How the main campaign types work
The right mix depends on what you sell and how people look for it. This table summarises what Google says about each type.
| Campaign type | Where ads can show | What drives it | Often used for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Search | Google search results | The keywords you choose | Services and leads |
| Shopping | The Shopping tab, Search results and Google Images | Your product data | Online stores |
| Performance Max | YouTube, Display, Search, Discover, Gmail and Maps | Your goals, budget and assets | Stores and lead generation with enough data |
Google's help page on Performance Max campaigns describes it as a goal-based campaign type that gives access to Google Ads inventory from a single campaign. Its page on the maximum CPC bid says the bid sets the most you are willing to pay for a click on your ad.
You pay per click, not per lead
A click costs money whether or not the visitor enquires. That is why the ad, the landing page and the tracking all matter as much as the bid.
Your budget decides how much we can test
A small budget can work, but it learns slowly. The audit shows whether your budget can support the campaigns you want, and we say so if we think it cannot.
Tracking comes before bidding
Google's page on bid strategies says Smart Bidding is a set of automated strategies that use Google AI to optimize for conversions or conversion value. It also says your conversion tracking should be set up correctly, with the actions you want to optimize for marked as primary.
Wrong tracking trains the wrong thing
If the account counts page views or accidental clicks as conversions, automated bidding learns to chase them. We check what is counted before we touch the bids.
We count what you would count
We agree what a good result is, such as a booked call, a quote request or a sale, and set the account to count that. If you can pass back which leads became customers, we use it.
Cost per lead: an example
The same budget can give very different results, depending on what happens after the click. The numbers below are made up to show the arithmetic. They are not results from any account.
Take an example budget of $3,000 a month and an average click cost of $3. That buys about 1,000 clicks.
| Share of visitors who enquire (example) | Leads from 1,000 clicks | Cost per lead |
|---|---|---|
| 2% | 20 | $150 |
| 5% | 50 | $60 |
| 8% | 80 | $37.50 |
The click price did not change in this example. Only the share of visitors who enquire did. This is why we look at your landing page and forms as well as your bids, and why we ask what a lead is worth to you before we set a target.
Signs your Google Ads account needs work
An account can look busy and still waste money. These are the signs we look for first.
Spend rises and enquiries do not
The budget keeps growing, but the phone is quiet.
Search terms look unrelated
Your ads show for searches that are not your customers.
Everything is in one campaign
You cannot tell which service or product earns money.
Tracking counts the wrong things
The account reports many conversions that you cannot find in your own records.
Nobody explains the report
You get numbers every month, but no advice.
If your account is in good shape, we will say so. Not every account needs a rebuild.
What we do in your first month
Every account is different, so this is our default plan, and the audit may change the order.
Week 1: audit and access
You give us read access. We review the account, the tracking and the landing pages, and write up what we found.
Week 2: plan and targets
We agree goals, a budget and a target cost per lead or sale, based on what a result is worth to you.
Week 3: fixes and launch
You approve the plan. We fix tracking, tidy the structure and launch or relaunch the campaigns.
Week 4: first review
We look at search terms, cut waste and report early signals. We do not judge a campaign on four weeks of data.
How we work
Here is the process from first contact to monthly reporting.
Share access
You give us access to your Google Ads account and analytics. You keep ownership of both.
Get the audit
You get a written list of what we found and what to fix first, in plain language. We talk it through on a call.
Set the targets
We agree goals and a starting budget, and set targets from what a lead or sale is worth to you.
Approve the plan
We write the campaign changes. You approve budget changes before they go live.
Launch and report
We run the campaigns and send a monthly report of spend, results and cost per result, with what we will do next.
Google's systems need time to learn from your data, so we tell you what to watch instead of promising a date.
What your monthly report shows
A report is only useful if you can act on it. Ours covers these five things.
Spend and results by campaign
What went in and what came out.
Cost per lead or sale
Against the target we agreed, not against an industry average.
Search terms
What people searched, what we added and what we blocked.
Tracking health
Whether what the account counts matches your own records.
What we do next
The next changes in priority order, for your approval.
We check reported results against your own enquiries or orders, and we say so when the two do not match.
What Google Ads management can and cannot do
It helps to know the limits before you spend anything.
What it can do
- Put your business in front of people searching right now
- Let you start, stop and change spend quickly
- Show which searches, ads and campaigns bring results
- Give you data on what people click and what they ignore
What it cannot do
- Guarantee leads, sales or a cost per result
- Fix a landing page that does not convince visitors
- Control what competitors bid
- Work without ad spend, because the click cost is on top of our fee
How much do Google Ads management services cost?
Prices vary a lot. On the agency websites we reviewed in October 2026, one agency listed management from $499 a month for small businesses and another from $750 a month, with higher tiers priced by the size of the ad spend. These are the agencies' own figures, so treat them as typical starting points, not fixed rates.
Your ad spend is separate. It goes to Google and is not part of the agency fee. Four things move the management price:
Ad spend and account size
A larger budget and more campaigns mean more to manage.
The number of campaigns and services
Each product line or location adds set up and testing.
Extras
Creative work, landing page testing and other channels cost more.
Reporting
Cost per sale or lead takes more work than a monthly summary.
That is why we price after the free audit and confirm the cost in writing. To get a price for your account, book a free call.

How to choose a Google Ads management agency
Whoever you hire, ask these questions first. Our guide on how to choose a digital marketing agency covers the general checks.
Who owns the account?
The Google Ads account should be in your name, so you can leave with your history.
Who will actually manage it?
Ask who logs in, and how often.
How do they set the target?
A target based on what a result is worth to you beats a generic benchmark.
Is the fee model clear?
A flat fee and a share of ad spend reward different things, so ask which applies.
Do they promise results?
No one controls the auction, so a guaranteed result is a warning sign.

Google Ads management FAQs
How long does Google Ads take to work?
Ads can run as soon as the campaigns are approved, but the system needs time to learn from your data. Expect a few weeks before you can judge a campaign. We report early signals first, such as clicks, search terms and enquiries.
How much should I spend on Google Ads?
There is no number that fits every business. It depends on what a lead or sale is worth to you, how much competition there is and how many clicks you need to learn. The audit helps you set a starting budget, and we say so if we think a budget is too small.
Do I need a Google Ads agency near me?
Not for the ads themselves. We work remotely with businesses in the US, UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the Gulf. We set the locations you serve in the account.
Can you work with a small business?
Yes. A small budget limits how much can be tested, so we keep the account simple and focus on the searches closest to a sale.
What is the difference between Google Ads and SEO?
Google Ads is paid: you pay for each click, and the ads stop when you stop paying. SEO earns organic rankings over time and has no cost per click. Many businesses use both. See our SEO services for that side.
What does a Google Ads management company do?
It plans, builds, runs and improves your campaigns, and reports on the results. The ad spend itself is paid to Google and is separate from the management fee.
Can I keep my account if I leave?
Yes. The account stays in your name, and you keep access to the history and data.
Do you manage other ad platforms?
Microsoft Ads and Meta ads can add reach once Google is working. We add them when the numbers support it, not by default.
