Best B2B SEO Agency in 2026: 8 Compared

B2B SEO Agency Feature Image

The best B2B SEO agency is the one that fits your buyers, your budget and your sales cycle, and can show how it will measure the work. This guide compares eight B2B SEO agencies using what each one says on its own website, so you can build a shortlist without reading eight sites.

A note before the list: Torplix publishes this guide, and Torplix is one of the eight. We list every agency in alphabetical order and do not rank them. What we say about the other seven comes from their own pages, which we read in October 2026. What we say about Torplix is a vendor’s view, and you should read it that way.

Quick answer

There is no single best B2B SEO agency. Altitude Marketing and Directive suit industrial and technical B2B. Optimist, Ten Speed and TripleDart lean toward SaaS and tech. Orbit Media suits teams that want web design and SEO together. Siege Media suits brands that want content led SEO and AI search work. Torplix suits companies that want a free audit and a written plan first. Only Optimist posts prices on its service page. TripleDart and Ten Speed list starting prices in their own blog posts. Check price, proof and reporting on a call before you sign.

How we picked these agencies

We did not use a scoring system, because any score we made up could not be checked. We used four plain rules instead.

  • A B2B focus. The agency has a page on its own site about B2B SEO, or a client list with many B2B companies.
  • A way to confirm it is real. Each is an established business with named clients we could see on its site.
  • A mix of sizes and specialties. The list should help different kinds of buyers.
  • Readable on its own site. We only used what we could read on the agency’s website in October 2026.

Here is what we did not do. We did not interview these agencies, test their work or speak to their clients. Results, client counts and awards are the agencies’ own claims, and we label them that way. We left out agencies whose websites we could not read. No agency paid to be on this list.

The list is not complete. Many good B2B SEO agencies are not here, and one of them may suit you better.

Why alphabetical order? A ranked list needs a score, and a score from a publisher that is also on the list is hard to trust. Alphabetical order treats every agency the same and leaves you to decide what matters most: price, industry, location or proof. The comparison table below is a good place to start, and the six questions in the choosing section show what to ask each one.

The 8 B2B SEO agencies

Each profile follows the same pattern: what the agency does, who it is for, what its site says about price and proof, and one thing worth asking on a call. They appear in alphabetical order.

Altitude Marketing

Altitude Marketing is a B2B marketing agency that sells SEO and AI answer engine optimization (AEO) on a monthly retainer. Its B2B SEO page says it has 35 or more B2B marketing experts and 20 years in business.

  • Best for: B2B companies in technical and industrial fields. Its page lists a case study in fire protection engineering.
  • Based: Emmaus, Pennsylvania, US.
  • Services listed: SEO and answer engine optimization, with content work built on long-tail and E-E-A-T frameworks.
  • Pricing: No ranges. The page says work is a monthly retainer for a set scope and that it will not be “$500/month”.
  • Proof shown: Two named case studies without figures, and two testimonials. The growth figures on the page, 20% and over 200%, come from testimonials and have no baseline or time frame.
  • Worth asking: How it measures AI search results. Its page says real time citations in AI answers cannot be monitored or measured, and calls traffic attribution the most accurate way to judge it.

Directive

Directive is an agency with a B2B SEO page written for B2B brands. Its page description names SaaS, tech and industrial brands. It describes its method as tying SEO to pipeline and revenue.

  • Best for: SaaS, tech and industrial companies that want SEO reported against pipeline.
  • Based: Offices in Orange County, Austin, New York City, Mexico City, London and Toronto.
  • Services listed: Technical SEO audits, content strategy, keyword research, link building, analytics and reporting, and CRM integration.
  • Pricing: No price list. A blog teaser on the page mentions a $7,000 to $60,000+ range for enterprise SEO, which is a general range, not Directive’s own quote.
  • Proof shown: Client results with percentages, such as a 46% rise in organic conversions for Vyond. Most figures have no baseline. A few give a time frame, such as 32% more organic traffic for Inscribe in one quarter.
  • Worth asking: For a sample pipeline report, so you can see which numbers it includes.

Optimist

Optimist is an SEO agency focused on tech and SaaS brands. It is the only agency here that posts prices on its service page.

  • Best for: Tech and SaaS companies that want a price before a sales call.
  • Based: Not stated on the page we read.
  • Services listed: SEO strategy and keyword research, AI search optimization (AEO and GEO), content strategy, technical SEO, link building and reporting.
  • Pricing: Its page says SEO consulting starts at $3,000 a month on a month to month retainer, and one time strategy projects start at $2,500. Its FAQ says a serious B2B SEO program typically runs $5,000 to $25,000 a month.
  • Proof shown: Six case results with multipliers or percentages, and two testimonials. Three of the cases are anonymous. Some state a time frame, such as 12 months for Glide, and some do not.
  • Worth asking: For the starting numbers and date ranges behind each multiplier, since not every result states a period. Its headlines mix traffic with leads, sign ups and revenue, and its page says traffic without pipeline is a vanity metric, so ask which results are pipeline.

Orbit Media

Orbit Media Studios is a Chicago agency that combines SEO with website design and development. Its B2B SEO page says it has worked with hundreds of B2B clients.

  • Best for: B2B companies that want SEO and a website rebuild or redesign handled together.
  • Based: Chicago, Illinois, US.
  • Services listed: SEO strategy, audits, keyword research, content writing, technical SEO, conversion work, and website design, development and hosting.
  • Pricing: None on the page.
  • Proof shown: Many client results with percentages, such as a 36% increase in page one rankings for Sonatype and a 59% increase in organic conversions for Federal Signal, plus review badges. These are the agency’s own claims.
  • Worth asking: What SEO only work looks like if you already like your site, since its page also lists web design, development and hosting.

Siege Media

Siege Media describes itself as a generative engine optimization (GEO) agency, with content, consulting, digital PR and affiliate work around it. Its client logos mix software, fintech and consumer brands.

  • Best for: Software and fintech brands that want content led SEO and visibility in AI search.
  • Based: Offices in Austin, New York, Chicago and San Francisco.
  • Services listed: GEO, content strategy and creation, consulting, digital PR, affiliate partnerships and web design.
  • Pricing: None on its homepage. Its calls to action are “Get an Assessment” and “Let’s Talk”.
  • Proof shown: Case studies with figures, such as a $6.1M traffic value increase for Zapier. These are the agency’s own numbers.
  • Worth asking: How much of its work is B2B pipeline, since its client base is not only B2B.

Ten Speed

Ten Speed is a US based agency for B2B companies. It sells SEO and answer engine optimization (AEO), with content creation and digital PR.

  • Best for: B2B SaaS and tech teams. Its site also lists professional services, fintech and healthcare among its industries.
  • Based: US based. The page we read does not name a city.
  • Services listed: SEO, AEO, content creation, digital PR and design.
  • Pricing: None on its main site, which says to book a call. Its own blog post lists engagements from $6,000 a month.
  • Proof shown: Three named client testimonials (name and title only on the page we read) and a case study that cites 800% more organic traffic for Visible.
  • Worth asking: For a pipeline example, not only a traffic example.

Torplix

Torplix is a digital marketing agency with SEO services for B2B companies. This is our own entry, so read it as a vendor’s description.

  • Best for: B2B companies that want a free audit and a written plan before they commit to anything.
  • Markets: The US, UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the Gulf.
  • Services listed: SEO, content marketing, email marketing, PPC, social media marketing and website design and development.
  • Pricing: No published B2B SEO prices. We quote after the free audit.
  • Proof shown: One anonymous B2B SaaS result on our SEO page, given as a percentage with no starting number. Under the case study checks below, that is thin proof, so ask us to walk you through it.
  • Worth asking us: How we would measure leads for your business, and what we would need from your side.

You can see what we offer on our B2B SEO services page.

TripleDart

TripleDart describes itself as a go to market (GTM) operating system for B2B tech companies, with organic growth, answer engine work, paid campaigns and account based marketing.

  • Best for: B2B tech and SaaS companies that want SEO inside a wider go to market program.
  • Based: Plano, Texas, and Bangalore, India.
  • Services listed: Organic growth, GTM engineering, and paid, creative and account based marketing.
  • Pricing: Its own blog post lists $5,000 a month for 8 content pieces plus SEO operations. Its main site does not publish prices.
  • Proof shown: A 4.8 Trustpilot badge and a link to a customers page. Its main page gives no client count, and its blog posts give two different numbers (80+ and 100+ B2B SaaS companies).
  • Worth asking: For a current client count, since its own blog posts give different numbers.

Which agency fits your situation

In our reading, the agencies here fall into three rough models. Content led agencies, such as Siege Media and Ten Speed, build their work around articles and AI search visibility. Industry focused agencies, such as Altitude Marketing and Directive, lean on technical fixes and knowledge of industrial or technical buyers. Wider firms, such as Orbit Media and TripleDart, bundle SEO with web design, paid media or go to market work. Torplix sits closest to the last group, because SEO is one of several services we offer. The models blur, and most agencies here do some of all three, so treat this as a starting point and not a verdict.

The table below matches common situations to the agencies whose own pages speak to them. It is our reading of what each site says, not a ranking, and an agency that is not listed for your situation may still suit you.

How much a B2B SEO agency costs

Prices vary a lot, and most agencies do not publish them. Two kinds of evidence help.

  • Survey data on SEO in general. In Ahrefs’ survey of SEO providers, the most common monthly retainer was $501 to $1,000, charged by 20.4% of providers, and 68.8% charged $2,000 a month or less. Agencies averaged $3,209 a month and freelancers $1,348.63.
  • Published B2B prices from this list. Optimist lists consulting from $3,000 a month and says serious B2B programs run $5,000 to $25,000 a month. TripleDart’s blog lists $5,000 a month for 8 content pieces plus SEO operations. Ten Speed’s blog lists engagements from $6,000 a month.

Two cautions. The Ahrefs survey covers SEO providers of every type in many regions, it is not B2B specific, and its page gives two different sample sizes (439 and 350) and an update date of August 2024. The agency prices are the agencies’ own statements. In our view, the survey shows where general SEO starts and the published B2B prices show where specialist programs start. Treat both as a guide and ask for a written scope with every quote.

How agencies charge

The agencies here describe a few ways of charging. Altitude Marketing says it works on a flat monthly retainer for a set scope. Optimist offers a month to month retainer and one time strategy projects. TripleDart lists monthly retainers. In the Ahrefs survey, the most common hourly rate was $75 to $100, charged by 24% of providers. Retainers suit ongoing work such as content and links. Projects and hourly rates suit audits and reviews. In our view, a retainer is only worth paying if the scope is written down.

How to choose a B2B SEO agency

Many lists of the best B2B SEO agencies are written by agencies that put themselves first. This one includes us too, so use the questions below on every agency, Torplix included.

  1. Who has done B2B work like mine? Ask for examples in your industry or a close one, and for a client you can speak to.
  2. How will you find the searches my buyers make? Look for research by buying stage, not a keyword list from a tool.
  3. What will you do each month? Ask for named tasks, not “SEO”.
  4. How do you measure results? Look for leads and pipeline, not only rankings and traffic.
  5. What do you need from us? Good agencies need access, a subject expert and one person who approves content.
  6. Who owns the accounts and the content? Get the answer in writing.

Watch for these red flags:

  • A guaranteed ranking. Google says “No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google.” It adds that if someone promises first place, you should find someone else.
  • Secrecy. Google advises being careful if a company is secretive or will not clearly explain what it intends to do.
  • Results with no baseline or time frame. A percentage means little without a starting number and a date range.
  • Reports that show only traffic and rankings. Visits do not show whether buyers took a step.
  • Volume instead of strategy. Lots of posts with no plan behind them rarely build trust with buyers.

How to read an agency’s case studies

Case studies are the agency’s own marketing, so read them with care. Check four things.

  • Is the client named? An anonymous case cannot be checked.
  • Is there a starting number and a date range? A rise of 400% from 10 visits is very different from a rise of 400% from 10,000.
  • Is the result a visit, a lead or revenue? For B2B, leads and pipeline matter most.
  • Was the client in a market like yours? A result in consumer retail says little about industrial buyers.

Then ask the agency to walk you through one case, from the first audit to the final report.

Agency, freelancer or in-house

You also need to decide who does the work. This table compares the three common options. It is our view, not survey data.

OptionGood forWatch for
AgencyA team with strategy, technical and writing skills in one placeSenior people selling the work and junior people doing it
FreelancerLower cost and direct access to the person doing the workOne person’s limited time and no cover if they get busy or ill
In-house hireDeep product knowledge and full controlHiring time, tool costs and a slow start

When you may not need a B2B SEO agency yet

SEO is a slow channel and does not fit every moment. Hold off if any of these apply.

  • Your site is not ready. If it is half built or Google cannot read it, finish it first.
  • You have no clear offer. SEO brings buyers to a page. If the page does not say what you sell, who it is for and what to do next, traffic will not turn into leads.
  • You cannot track leads. Without form and call tracking, you cannot tell whether the spend works.
  • You need leads this month. SEO builds over time. Paid search, outbound or referrals move faster, and you can add SEO alongside them.
  • Almost no one searches for what you sell. Check demand first, then decide whether search is the right channel.

In those cases, spend first on the site, the offer and the tracking. If you want to learn the basics before you talk to anyone, read our guide to SEO.

B2B SEO agency FAQ

Do I need an agency that only does B2B?

Not always. What matters is whether the agency has worked with long sales cycles and several decision makers. A specialist can do well, and so can an agency with B2B clients among others. Ask for examples of both.

Should a B2B SEO agency also handle AI search?

Most agencies on this list now sell answer engine or generative engine optimization alongside SEO. It is early, and measurement is hard: one agency here says on its own page that real time citations in AI answers cannot be monitored or measured. Ask how any agency measures it. In our view, treat AI search as an addition to SEO, not a replacement.

How many agencies should I talk to?

Three is usually enough. One gives you nothing to compare, and more than that costs you time. Ask each the same questions, ask for a written scope, and compare the answers side by side.

Is it a problem to hire an agency in another country?

Not by itself. The agencies here have offices in the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK and India. What matters is time zones for calls, reporting that fits your market, and experience with the search results in your country. Ask where the people doing the work are based, and ask for examples from your market.

Is it worth paying for an audit or a pilot first?

Often, yes. A short audit lets you judge an agency’s thinking before you commit to a retainer. Ask what you get at the end, such as a written list of fixes and priorities, and whether you keep it if you do not continue.

Where to start
