On Page SEO Services That Fix Underperforming Pages

Our on page SEO services fix the parts of a page that decide whether it ranks and whether anyone clicks: the title, the headings, the content and the links.

We start with a free audit, send you a written list of fixes in priority order, and work one page at a time, so you can see what moved the numbers.

What our on page SEO services include

On page SEO is everything you control on the page itself. Every project is scoped to your pages, and these are the parts we work on. If you are new to the topic, our guide to SEO explains where it fits.

Titles, descriptions and URLs

The title and description are the first thing a searcher sees, so we write them to match the page and the search. Google's title link guidance asks for descriptive, concise titles, and says Google may change a title that does not fit the page. The SEO Starter Guide says a good description is short, unique to the page and covers its most relevant points. We follow both. We only change a URL when there is a strong reason, and we set up redirects when we do.

Headings and content

We check that each page answers what the searcher wanted, in the order they want it: a clear main heading, subheadings that follow the logic of the page, and copy that covers the topic without padding. Thin pages get expanded, pages that compete get merged or separated, and pages that already work are left alone. For new articles or guides, see our content marketing services.

Internal links and images

We add links from related pages with wording that says what the next page is about, connect pages that nothing links to, and add short, accurate alt text to images. Stores have their own page types, covered by our ecommerce SEO services. Speed, crawling and indexing belong to technical SEO, and we will tell you if the audit finds any.

Signs your pages need on page SEO work

A page can be well written and still underperform. These are the signs we look for first.

Impressions without clicks

In Google Search Console the page appears, but the title or description is not earning the click.

Pages stuck just off the first page

They rank on page two or at the bottom of page one. Small fixes are where we look first.

Two pages for one search

Neither ranks as well as one strong page would.

The same title on many pages

This often happens with products, locations and tags. Vague titles like "Home" or "Services" count too.

Thin or outdated pages

They exist, but they do not answer the question the searcher came with.

If your pages are in good shape, we will say so. Our wider search engine optimization services cover problems that are not on the page.

What we change on a page: an example

This is a made up page for a plumbing company. It is an illustration of the kind of change we make, not a client result, and we are not claiming any ranking or traffic gain from it.

None of this is clever. The page now says what it is about, which helps the searcher and Google.

How we work

Here is the process from first contact to results.

1

Share your site

You send us your site address and goals. We review your pages, and your Search Console data if you share access.

2

Get the priority list

You get a written list of the pages we would fix first and why. We talk it through on a call.

3

Pick the pages

We agree a starting set of pages, usually the ones closest to bringing you business.

4

Approve the changes

We write the changes for each page: titles, descriptions, headings, copy edits and links. You approve them before anything goes live.

5

Publish and check

We can make the changes on your site ourselves or hand your team a ready list, whichever you prefer. After that we check Search Console and report what moved.

Google has to recrawl a page before a change shows, so results can take weeks and sometimes months. We tell you what to watch instead of promising a date.

How much do on page SEO services cost?

Prices vary a lot. On the agency websites we reviewed in October 2026, per page work started at about $149 to $159 a page, small one time packages ran from about $160 to $470, and monthly programs ran from about $1,000 to $5,000 or more. These are the agencies' own published figures, so treat them as typical ranges, not fixed rates.

Four things move the price:

How many pages

Ten pages and a thousand pages are very different jobs.

How much needs rewriting

Fixing a title is quick. Rebuilding a thin page takes longer.

Your platform and who makes the edits

Some sites are easy to change. Others need developer time.

How competitive the searches are

Harder searches need more work per page.

That is why we price after the free audit and confirm the cost in writing. To get a price for your pages, book a free call. For a wider look at monthly SEO pricing, see our breakdown of affordable SEO services.

How to choose an on page SEO provider

Whoever you hire, ask these questions first.

Can they show what they would change on your pages?

A good provider points to specific titles and headings, not a list of tasks.

Who edits your site?

Know whether they make the changes or send a list, and that you keep access.

Do you approve changes before they go live?

Rewriting a page that already ranks can hurt it.

How do they measure results?

Look for clicks and impressions by page in Search Console, not only rank screenshots.

Do they promise rankings?

No one controls Google, so a guaranteed position is a warning sign.

On page SEO FAQs

How long does on page SEO take to work?

Google has to recrawl and reassess the pages first, so expect weeks at the earliest and often a few months, depending on your site and the competition. We track clicks and impressions by page, so you can see early movement before rankings change.

Can I do on page SEO myself?

Yes, on a small site. Google's SEO Starter Guide is free and covers titles, descriptions, headings and links. Help makes sense when you have many pages, little time, or no clear view of which pages to fix first.

Do you edit my site, or just send recommendations?

Either. We can make the changes ourselves or give your team a ready list. You approve everything first.

Will you change my URLs?

Only when there is a strong reason. A URL change can lose a page's existing rankings if it is not handled well, so we set up redirects and tell you before we do it.

How is it different from technical and off page SEO?

On page SEO covers what is on a page. Technical SEO covers how Google crawls and loads your site, and off page SEO covers links from other sites. Most sites need a mix, and the audit shows which matters most.
